
City of Belleville Council Meeting with proclamation attesting to the contribution the Belleville Garden Club has made to the city over the years.

Our March General Meeting. Join us for an informative talk with Carson Arthur - all about Food Insecurity.
Carson is passionate about teaching you to grow, harvest and enjoy the bounty from your own space. His goal is to help you eat better and live a healthier lifestyle by bringing farm-to-table to you.

Our second annual Seedy Saturday. After last year's success, we are doing it again! Centennial Secondary School, 160 Palmer Rd, Belleville. Come out and learn about growing your own food, get some seeds and have fun!

Thanks to the generosity of the Quinte Home Builders' Assoc. we will have a boot at this year's Quinte Home & Cottage Show. Come and see us - should be a great learning experience.

Also on Sunday the 29th we will have a table at the Quinte Model Train show. We will be demonstrating Garden scale model railroading and the gardening that enhances the layout.

As part of our 150th celebrations, club member Jai Harvey-Wright will be holding a book signing for her newly published book "B is for Bugs"at Thrashers Garden Centre, 26 N. Front St. Belleville.

April is our Violet/Houseplant Show.
Our General Meeting will feature Dana Goodfellow of Quinte Mind & Body who will help get us ready for the gardening season ahead. Dana is a registered massage therapist and knows a great deal about preventing aches and pains through proper exercise.
Our annual Plant Sale on the parking lot at Eastside Community Baptist Church (corner of Rollins and Victoria in Belleville) Lots of perennials, veggies, hostas, herbs, lawn ornaments and surprises!

Our speaker this month will be Debi Parry who is an expert on Orchids! Debi will give us tips on keeping these beautiful flowers growing and blooming.

Our Club members and members for other area clubs will be taking a bus trip to Richters Herbs in Goodwood for a tour of their greenhouses followed by lunch and then continue on our way to Parkwood Estate, a National Historic Site, for a tour of the grounds.

We will be honoured to have our new club flag raised at the Quinte Wellness Centre in recognition of our 150th Anniversary. Join us for the celebration. (time to be determined)

Our speaker this month will be Blair Richards-Koeslag, a chartered herbalist who will talk to us about those wild weeds (nettle, raspberry, mugwort and others) and how to put them to good use.
